Calf Cramps Related To Chest Pain?

September 24th, 2009 by admin Leave a reply »

How are calf cramps related to chest pain and shortness of breath? A website mentioned that if someone had these symptoms they should seek emergency medical attention. Just making sure. By the way, this person has had heart problems so it might be in relation to that.

There is a muscle in the calf, the soleus, that is called the second heart. When it contracts, it pushes blood back toward the heart.
If there is a problem with blood pressure or blood flow, or a clot or something like that, it would make the calf hurt.
