You may also have a hiatal hernia — in which the esophagus takes a more complicated passage through other structures in the thorax. This can lead to a tortuous shape of the esophagus that can lead to some of the symptoms you describe. Google “Hiatus Hernia” to learn more and see if what reliable sites describe seem to apply to you.
you might have eaten to quickly
I’m a nurse, it’s indigestion. I would start an OTC heartburn medication and see if that helps you. Also you could be experiencing muscle wall pain (the wall around the heart). I would watch your symptoms and please go back if it gets worse. Any heart discomfort is worth being seen, after all you deserve the best care, right?
You have heart burn. Or at least that is what I think. You should see a physician anyway.
it is either indigestion or Heartburn. Try taking some antacid after meals, or drink warm water with a little vinegar in it. This aides in digestion, and try not to slouch whilst you eat.
It could be gas or acid reflux.
id say acid reflux, try eating ALLOT ( twice as many as directions show on the bottle) ,of over the counter anti acids BEFORE your next meal.It will not be a quick fix you will have to to this for several days, the feeling of getting food stuck in your pipes is most likely caused by the food rubbing an acid damaged part of your esophagus ,or just go get a perception for a drug like nexium it works well, if that doesn’t work (which i doubt) try some beano its an over counter anti gas it works well also
check with your doctor, it could be just acid reflux. this ussually happens if you’re eating spicy things. you can take a couple of tums.
This is just heart burn.. i would suggest that you take some antacids and see the difference… should defenitely bring down the pain.. i have been suffering the same for so many years now!! (i have GERD)
I’m experiencing the same thing. I gave GERD and chest pains and my EKG’s have been normal. Look into Costochondritis or Tietze’s syndrome. More than likely you would have costochondritis. However, this ailment usually only lasts for 8-10 weeks.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costochondr…
You may need an endoscopy if your esophagus is feeling constricted while attempting to swallow. Look up a good gastro-intestinal doctor and avoid a family practitioner. He may determine that you need to be on Nexium (which has saved me).
Realize that these are only a few suggestions and that I’m not a doctor. You should see a specialist if your regular doctor is not helping you. Remember that they are only human. How many times have you been wrong in your life?
Highly likely you are suffering from a Hiatal Hernia. See your family Chiropractor for non-surgical treatment.
Best wishes and good luck.
it,s an ulcer i got one this week and i had the same so people can get help, also they have been hospitably lized for it, so you should go see the doctor right a way, i got the same thing to night as will, he well give you some pills if he dosen,t think it,s serious, but ofter 6 month yes it can be. or it can be gasses,
GERD is gastroeosophageal reflux disease so definitely you do have an acid reflux, no question about it! Taking antacids may help, also try not to eat too much before you go to bed. Nitroglycerides have also been reported to relieve symptoms of GERD. There is only one worry in my mind, the fact that GERD is associated with Barrets eosophagus which is a change in the cells lining the lower part of the eosophagus to a more secretory nature due to over stimulation with the gastric acid. Barrets eosophagus may undergo malignant change so it is wise that you go for an endoscopy and biopsy to rule out this possibility.
Maybe you have a panic disorder.
It sounds like acid reflux.
The little valve that is between the esophagus and the stomach is not closing properly and stomach acid is getting into the esophagus. It can burn and hurt bad!!! Stomach acid could strip the paint off your car!!! Try some O.T.C. antacids or Zantac. If it keeps up go to the Dr. there are some very good medications to take care of this condition.
Could be Acid Reflux. try to take some Zantac or Prilosec (but this one will just take effect 3 days latter), or some Tums after you eat. If this doesn’t make you feel better, go to your Doctor because could be simptoms of something worst.
Acid reflux comes to mind since the pain is occuring after you eat. Sounds digestive related.
Heartburn?
It sounds to me like your esophagus is having some problems, probably at the muscle ring that opens into the stomach. If that’s tightening up on you it will feel something like that. I’m not sure it’s dangerous, but since you have a history of GERD it should be checked because it could be the result of damage from that condition.
