Chest Pain And Fluttering…any Ideas?

January 1st, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

This may be long, but i want to give enough b/g info. I’m 26 yrs old. Since around 12 yrs old I have had intermittent chest pain with no obvious triggers. It happens at rest and during activity. Symptoms coincide with angina (based on my research and understanding of it). I’ve been to countless Dr.s and tried everything from cutting back caffeine to cardiologist’s stress test. Nobody can seem to find anything. Recently, under a lot of stress (almost 3 months ago), I started having problems with “shots” of high blood pressure, that have not stopped even though the stressor has gone away. Around the same time, I started having a “fluttering” feeling in my chest (heart). This is also intermitten. It only lasts for a few seconds. I suddenly feel weak, and as soon as the flutter (feels like a quick vibration) is over, I feel fine again, only a little tired for a while. Anybody have any ideas? I can give more details if neccessary, just let me know.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? Also, instead of a regular doctor, try and internal medicine doctor. For the thyroid, you would need an endocrinologist.
