My boyfriend has been having coughing and chest pain occasionally on the morning. Pretty sure smoking a pack a day doesnt help. Yes, I know he should quit, and he knows too. My question is: what are these symptoms of? Maybe its not even from smoking…I DUNNO

Occupationally you can pull the muscles in your chest that will cause pain on coughing and deep breathing. If your boyfriend has a productive cough he could have a chest inf, BUT if he is worried he should get himself checked out by at either his GP’s or local Walk in Centre.
Sorry that I can’t be more specific but there can be a 101 diffrent reasons for chest pain and most are harmless, but….
