Hip / Lower Back / Chest Pain?

I experience pain in both hips which is especially worse when I am lying down in bed and it is uncomfortable for my hips to lie on my side. Does anyone have similar symptoms? I also experience lower back pain which is sharp in nature but can also ache and even get sharp pain in my chest sometimes but not as bad. Have had an MRI scan on my spine and also a bone scan and everything came out clear so a bit baffled about my symptoms!! Symptoms have been present for about 2 years now.

    I think I understand your pain. I think you might of hurt your tailbone at some time. This will cause the symptoms you have described, I also had an MRI done on my lower back and it came clean. I found this website and it told me what I needed to know. I got an x-ray on my tailbone area and there it was. You should get your coccyx/sacrum x-ray. http://www.coccyx.org

    hi, i also had experiences with lower back pain. I could not get up from the bed or chair because it was so painful. One of the reason we have back pain is we have weak lower back muscle. After some home exercise for about 1 or 2 months. My back is much better.

    you should go to docs get yourself checked out, chest pain might not be connected to the other 2 pains, could be bowel problems if its lower back pain, good luck

    I feel that you have problem of acidity and/or constipation. There is no problem with your spine. If you have habit to take alcohole it can also cause inflamation on intestines and give rise to pain anywhere from frontal head, shoulders to back, hips and legs. It can make your heart hyperactive and create chest pain. But exact diagnosis is not possible on internet. For that history taking and patient examination are essential.

    I wouldn’t worry about the chest pains so much unless they become more frequent and more intense. Having had extensive lower back problems in my past I would suggest that your symptoms suggest an out of shape frame. In back therapy they had patients with similar symptoms engage in a fairly strenuous “core muscle” strengthening routine. I can tell you from experience that when you strengthen all those muscles that are designed to lift and separate our frame, or skeletal structure, your described types of aches and pain all went away.
    For the cost of one MRI you can hire a personal trainer for several months. I would start with a basic beginners program of core strengthening exercise and see what it does for you. IF something is really wrong with you this exercise will bring it out. If nothing but weakness is your ailment then the exercise will solve your problem.

    OH MY GOD!!! I couldnt believe it when I read your question. I have EXACTLY those symptons and I don’t know what is causing them. I have had the pain for quite a long time now – a couple of years – If you find out what it is could you let me know!

    You must have been under the stress for long time. Stress hormone are known to target normal functions of the bowel causing it to be more disfunctional and can produce more acid in the stomach then it should . That kind of disorder can result in constant pain around hips and chest pain which can be just sign of indigestion.
    Acupuncture can relieve this pain and may correct this problem.
    Try it.

    How old are you?
    If you are approaching middle age or older, say 45 plus, you may be suffering from osteoarthritis, a joint disease which commonly affects the hips and spine. However, this would have been quite obvious on a bone scan. Perhaps the problem is muscular? Does it feel like your bones or your muscles?
    Another important consideration is your posture. Do you sit at a desk all day? Do not underestimate the pain that can be caused through poor posture and bad ergonomics.
