I Got A Really Sharp Pain In My Chest, What Could Be Wrong?

February 9th, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

I was at work and I got a little thirsty, so I bought a cherry coke out of the machine. I went into the lunchroom and took a drink and as soon as I swallowed it my chest hurt really bad. I couldn’t stand, so I sat in a chair. The pain lasted for at least a minute, then it slowly faded away. Later on I finished the soda with no problem. What could have caused the pain?

Probably that first burst of carbonation and the coldness. I wouldn’t worry about it. It happens to a lot of us.

It could be caused by the carbonation. I had to drastically cut back my sodas because of this a while back.. it started out as something small, and one day I literally drank less than half of an 8 oz can, and I had chest pains for 30 minutes.
