My Daughter Complains About Chest Pain?

January 18th, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

Every time she eats potatoes or the Chicken ranch wrap from McDonald’s she complains about chest pain, as if (the food) got stuck there. I give her a cup of water but the pain continues for about 3 minutes every time. Should i be more concerned?

It could be acid reflux/heartburn that is causing this. I would take her to a doctor to get it checked. If it’s acid reflux she can develop sores in her esophagus that will only make the problem worse without treatment.
Don’t panic though if it is acid reflux it can be easily managed.

Your daughter may have gastro reflux disease (grd) make an appointment to see a gastroenterologist as she may require an gastroscopy where a tube the sise of the thickness of your finger is fitted with a camera where the doctor investigats the gullet and the duodenum this is done either awake or under sedation it takes approx 10 minutes

this could also be the inflmation of her chest if she does any sports or is a little overweight this is not uncommon just go see what the doctor says and she should be fine
