Pain In My Lower Throat And Upper Chest Pain-answers?

December 25th, 2009 by admin Leave a reply »

After a swim practice I fell asleep and when I woke up this pain in my lower throat was present when I swallow (this sounds odd, but it feels similar to when a burp is caught in your throat) and when I breathe in hard my upper chest hurts as well. A girl on my team recently had chronic bronchitis, are these the same symptoms? I have not had a severe cold or cough in the past month and do not have one now.

Sounds like you are starting a cold…..upper chest pain sounds like bronchitis. See a doctor as soon as you can. Good Luck!

this could be what is called a “chestnut” in your oesophagus’s, try an antacid and see if it relieves your symptoms

Yes, these are some of the many symtoms of bronchitis.
I think I can determine a better description of the burping.
Is it like when you breathe in, your chest hurts and it feels like you’re not getting enough air into your lungs? or it feels like the air is “rolling” in your esophagus/throat?
    Definitely bronchitis.
If it isnt, then it may be just sore throat.
If you swallowed any chlorine in the pool, you may have had just a minor reaction to it.
Just give it 3 days to a week. If it continues, see a doctor.
