I read that:
Often, heart problems present with more than just chest pain. Other symptoms that could signal a heart problem include weakness, shortness of breath, pain that radiates to your jaw or shoulder, fainting, nausea, fast heart beat, confusion–too many to mention.
And I’ve been having chest pain recently. I’m in great shape, but sometimes when i have the random sharp pains (which started recently-about 2 weeks ago) i get strange feelings in my upper arm and shoulder. Also, I have hyperthyroidism which causes loss of concentration. Sometimes when I’m talking i get off track and my mind goes completely blank. Could this count for the confusion listed above?
I’m 13 years old.

Short answer no not really. When we talk about cardiac chest pains patients will describe it as either crushing, tightness, heaviness, or squeezing pain/discomfort. Sharp chest pain is normally not associated as of cardiac origin. The fact that you have stated that is sharp in nature has me thinking that its more of a pluretic chest pain (if you search some of my answers you’ll find out what i mean). With you getting off track that could be related to hyperthyroidism.
If you have any concerns go see your local doctor.
Assuming you’re under a doctor’s care for your thyroid, you should definitely talk to him/her about this. You didn’t mention if you’re on any meds and side affects are always possible. Please talk to a medical professional asap.
