I’m 16 + i have since about mid-march been having really bad panick attacks. To where i think i’m going to die + tremors…etc. I also think i’m my heart is going to stop + freak out. The last attack was in the beginning of June…i called the ambulance b/c i was convinced my heart had stopped. They hooked me up to monitors + said that i was fine.
Since then…i’ve been having really bad random pains above my rib cage on the left side. I looked it up + it said that i could have PCS-Precordial Catch Syndrome. They listed things that i should look out for if its not that. I have almost all of the symptoms::
Chest pain that extends into the left side of the jaw or arm
a cough that produces phlegm
Extreme anxiety with the pain or a feeling of “impending doom”
Blueness or paleness of the lips or fingernails
An irregular, rapid, or pounding heart rate
Marked difficulty breathing or catching one’s breath
So, i really think that you could help.
Thanks.

First of all , stop trying to self diagnose, there is a reason doctors go to school for so long and specialize and it’s because the human body is extremely complex and when you add the way our brains work it’s just crazy to try to figure out on Web MD.
You could be having something as harmless but scary as chest wall spasms.
Go and talk to a doctor, or find a clinic that deals with stress induced physical problems. Or take a stress analysis test to see how you deal with stress, Stress alone can cause the symptoms you describe.
What your describing sounds more like thoracic outlet syndrome . There is a very large nerve in your chest called the thoracic nerve . Its the size of a thin rope , it runs to your lung threw your rib cage under your arm into your shoulder down your arm into the fingers . It also feeds into your face and neck . The nerve branches off to smaller nerves to feed your arms and into your face . When this nerve is impinged or being pressed on ( which it shouldnt be) you can get the feeling of severe chest pain , shortness of breath , the feeling that you cant breath , numbness in your arm down to your hands and into your jaw and face . It also can make your hand and fingers turn blueish , and cold . This can be brought on from an injury one that you may not even be aware of , the sudden jerking or pulling of your arm away from your body . A sudden jolt of your neck . A fall . The anxiety attacks are probably unrelated but may very much agravate the situation because breating rapidly will agrivate the nerve and cause sudden sharp chest pain causing severe anxiety . A neurologist or a hand suergeon can diagnose this . Therapy done by therapists trained in nerve injuries can help . Regular therapists will not be helpful if they are not trained in nerve injuries . No pain no gain is not the motto here . Any therapy that causes pain with a nerve injury will cause more problems .
Stop getting medical advice from strangers on the internet and see a physician. Seriously; do it now.
When you are stressed it causes your body to act out in all sorts of weird ways. What you are most likely having is muscle spasms of your chest area, breast bone- rib cage, areas.
You need to believe in the Doctors that you are fine. Heart problems do not cause sharp shooting pains.
Why are you feeling so stressed to the point of anxiety? Let your parents know what’s going on and maybe speak to a therapist about your feelings. Stop researching because you will create more symptoms for yourself the more you read the worst case scenarios.
Try some yoga, exercise, meditation to help you get that stress out of your system. Once you believe that you are really ok, you will feel so much better. If you don’t, the symptoms will continue.
