I have a mild niggling pain in the left hand side of my chest, I just wondered what this could be. It is almost continual.

If you want to determine the cause of your symptoms, then you need to see the doctor. It is impossible to determine the cause of your chest pain based on this limited information. I do not know your age or if you have risk factors for heart disease. If you do have risk factors for heart disease, then you should have this immediately evaluated. There are many things that can lead to chest pain, such as heart disease, heartburn, musculoskeletal (pulled muscle), anxiety and lung issues. If you want to know the cause, then see the doctor because no one can diagnose you over the internet.
If it’s in the area of the nipple and your tired (sleepy) your left arm gets sore, your out of breath then head for the nearest ER you may be having angina (heart problems) and tell the what’s going on, they are ther for you.
If it sharpens when you exercise get to a doctor. Come to think of it – get to a doctor.
Niggling? Is that not a racist word?
