What Is This Random Chest Pain?

January 31st, 2010 by admin Leave a reply »

I am a 19 year old female 5’8” 165 lbs. I realize I am slightly overweight. I have been experiencing odd chest pains for about the last month. It is very random, and when I experience it, it can last from a few seconds to a few minutes. I have to stop whatever I am doing from the intense pain. It is only in the left side of my chest in one spot. It feels like a needle or something ripping inside my chest. It hurts worse when I breath in deeply. Any ideas on what it may be? Heartburn? or something else?

I would definitely ask your doctor, because you have your heart and your lungs in your chest.
I had pain in my left side – but it was more of an intense pressure – and it hurt worse when I breathed in. After going to the doctor, I found out it was a problem with my lung.

Sounds like what I have. Try to look into Precordial Catch Syndrome, if your doctor wasn’t able to find anything else.
