It has happened to me before. When I breathe in I get a sharp pain in the middle of my chest. But it only happens when I take really deep breaths.
And Ideas?

Did you take a hit from anything in the ribs, any shortness of breath, do you have bad allergies that make you cough.
Just a few thinks.
if you got hit with anything in the ribs you may have cracked one or broke one.
Shortness of breath you may be seeing pre-signs to a heart attack or stroke also depending on you health and what shape you are in.
If you have bad allergies and this really happened to me. I was sneezing and coughing up flem so hard I actually tore my diaphragm so when I took a deep breath it hurt like hell.
If this persists you should see a doctor an x-ray may be able to answer questions a lot better.
It could be a simple matter of needing to clear out your lungs. Try taking some Mucinex. It will help to rid your lungs of any phlegm that might be trapped in there. Also, increase the amount of water you drink daily for a few days to help liquify secretions. If you still feel pain upon deep inhalation after a few days of this, see a doctor. It could be an infection that would require antibiotics.
It might be an angina pectoris….. consult your doctor for further info

did u go to the beach/ pool/ water park because the same thing happened to me and the doc said that i had gotten too much water up my nose, lol
