The following are symptoms of the possible causes of chest pain. This is not a comprehensive list, but does cover some of the more common symptoms.
Heart Attack symptoms may include; Angina (chest pain), shortness of breath, discomfort in the center of the chest, a squeezing, choking, crushing or heaviness sensation, localized pressure in the chest, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, sweating, pain or discomfort in one or both arms, jaw, neck, back or stomach, fast, slow or irregular heart beat. PAIN OR DISCOMFORT IN ANY AREA OF THE UPPER BODY.
If you feel you may be experiencing a heart attack, call 911 immediately. Emergency room treatment may prevent or limit damage to the heart.
Angina (chest pain) does not necessarily signify that any permanent damage has been done to the heart, but can mean that there has at least been a temporary loss or decrease of blood supply to the heart.
