all my life i’ve had chest pains and squeezing in the chest when i eat eggplant. the only way i can keep these symptoms form happening is if i soak teh eggplant in salt water before cooking. after several minutes i am able to pour off a brownish colored liquid. im just really curious. i cant find anything out there on the internet about it.

February 18th, 2010I get breathless, have chest pain, confusion, memory troubles, dizziness, tiredness and just plain out feeling cruddy. A few years ago the Dr. thought I might have multiple myeloma, (and then changed her mind) but the symptoms seem similar.
I’m hoping for anemia but she only wanted me to go back to see her every year in June.
Any help?
Anyone Been On Beta Blockers For The Treatment Of Panic/anxiety?
February 17th, 2010I have had panic attacks and generalized anxiety for awhile now and I get short of breath and have chest pains. I have been to the er and my family dr. many times and they all say that my chest pain and tachycardia is due to panic/anxiety. I am having a hard time believeing this! So, do the beta blockers work and how long are they usually prescribed for this and how long do they take to work? I still am havong symptoms. I am also just starting effexor xr 150mgs. Any advice would be helpful!

Does Anyone Have Chest Pain With Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
February 6th, 2010My husband had his gallbladder out about 4 years ago and his health has not been right since. He’s had all kinds of tests including 3 ERCPs, another endoscopy, colonoscopy, breath tests and many, many bloodwork tests. He’s seen about 4 different doctors including a GI specialist and the surgeon who removed his gallbladder. Right now his latest doctor thinks he has irritable bowel syndrome as nothing else seems to fit. Really though the bowel symptoms (2-3 loose BM’s a day) are really the least of it. Mostly he is complaining of overwhelming fatigue and chest pain (it is not cardiac related) that he says is similar to the pain that he had when he was having his gallbladder attacks. I think he needs an ultrasound or CT of this area to see what is going on. All his bloodwork is coming back within normal limits so there is not much to go on. I was just wondering if anyone else has had symptoms like this and had it resolved or improved to better health?
Chest Pain While Breathing An Deep Breathing? Has Anyone Got A Clue?
January 27th, 2010After a somewhat severe chest side pain crisis that came about suddenly, my roommate was taken yesterday to the county hospital for investigations. After the tests what I can tell you is this: No heart-attack, no pulmonary embolism, and pain relieving drugs not to efficient in pain-treatment. He experiences pain with breathing, burping and mostly deep breathing. He hasn’t suffered any trauma to his chest/back region. Has anyone got any ideas as to what his affliction may be? He is 31 years old, around 100 kilos and 1,80m, with no family history related to heart disease. He is a somewhat heavy smoker with a somewhat sedentary lifestyle, but overall an active person. What could this be? I should mention he’s recently had flue-like symptoms with fever, but they’ve been gone for 2-3 days now.

Severe Upper Back Pain, Swollen Lymph Nodes. Does Anyone Have A Potential Diagnosis For These Symptoms?
January 3rd, 2010My wife hasbeen experiencing severe pain for the past week.
Symptoms: first there was severe pain caused by swollen lymph nodes behind her right ear; that progressed to severe internal pain near her left shoulder blade which has persisted; if she lies very still on her back the pain dissipates; lymph nodes behind right ear and in neck are inflamed but no longer cause pain
Diagnostic tests: CT scan (chest and back) was negative
Pain medications: doctors have prescribed Tylenol with codeine and OxyContin
Doctors have not been able to diagnose.
Does Anyone Know What This Type Of Chest Pain Might Be?
January 2nd, 2010I have been having persistent dull left side chest pain for at least a couple of hours. It gets stronger if I inhale deeply, or if I move either of my arms, especially if I reach behind my back. The pain always stays in the same localized place, and is constant. I don’t have pain anywhere else or any other symptoms.
I don’t really think that it is anything serious. I’m in my twenties, and not overweight or anything. Basically, I’m just curious to know if anyone has ever heard of any type of correlation between arm movement and chest pain because I haven’t come across anything.
