I have also been having lightheadedness and headaches. I went to the doctor about all this and wanted a referral for a cardiologist and an MRI. I got a cardiologist referal (from the nurse, actually) but the doctor didn’t see fit to do the same for my head. Even though I was having chest pains before passing out, she insisted that the next day I go to get my blood drawn six times over 5 hours to test for hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. I have never in my life had problems with blood sugar, or shown any symptoms of it, not has anyone in my family.I think there may be a problem with my heart.Since I passed out on Christmas day, I constantly feel somewhat weak, with chest pains and palpitations.I am not at all impressed with this doctor’s sense-she misdiagnosed me before. But despite all this,my Dad refuses to switch me saying he thinks she is pretty smart. Based on my experience, I can’t imagine why. Since I have to go back to college in NC on January third, should I call for referrals for NC doct

February 23rd, 2010I have been having horrible sharp chest pains under my left breast. When they first started about 4 weeks ago, I didn’t know how to stop them and they only happened about 2 times a day, lasting for a while, but then I found out that if I breathed in really deep, it was almost as if something popped in that spot and then the pain went away, but this week end, the pains have been coming every 5 minutes and really hurts to breathe in, even though it gets rid of the pain. I went to WebMD and found this condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse, which has symptoms of chest pains, fatigue, and daily headaches, which I have also been experiencing. I am only 16 and this is really starting to scare me. It hurts and I’ve realized that my heart has been speeding up as well now. I have an appointment on Friday, but I don’t know how long I can take this pain.
Has Anyone Who Has Been Anemic Had These Same Symptoms?
February 18th, 2010I get breathless, have chest pain, confusion, memory troubles, dizziness, tiredness and just plain out feeling cruddy. A few years ago the Dr. thought I might have multiple myeloma, (and then changed her mind) but the symptoms seem similar.
I’m hoping for anemia but she only wanted me to go back to see her every year in June.
Any help?
Anyone Been On Beta Blockers For The Treatment Of Panic/anxiety?
February 17th, 2010I have had panic attacks and generalized anxiety for awhile now and I get short of breath and have chest pains. I have been to the er and my family dr. many times and they all say that my chest pain and tachycardia is due to panic/anxiety. I am having a hard time believeing this! So, do the beta blockers work and how long are they usually prescribed for this and how long do they take to work? I still am havong symptoms. I am also just starting effexor xr 150mgs. Any advice would be helpful!
