Both times mine happened the same way, it starts out feeling like slight heartburn or indigestion and within 5 or ten minutes it has progressed to severe heartburn and pain in chest, followed by severe sweating and left arm aching and sometimes nausea. within 15 minutes it feels like someone has parked a dump truck on your chest and and the feeling of a rope around your chest being tightened tighter and tighter, and you are pouring sweat like a fountain. by this time you better hope your pulling up to the ER door because your time is about up! they need to start a nitroglycerin iv drip immediately in order to dilate your arteries where the blockage is, then insert a stint to hold it open and allow blood flow to resume. if this is not done right away it will starve that part of the heart for oxygen and kill it forever. that’s what happened to me the fist time, i was in cancun and after receiving nitro and feeling much better i continued on with my vacation not knowing that by doing so i had let the bottom halve of my heart die. hospitals in cancun won,t touch a tourist without 10 or 20 thousand cash to put in their hand and still don’t care if you live or die. they love our money but they don’t like us. am very lucky to still be here.

February 17th, 2010Sudden Upper Back Pain, Chest Tightness? Never Felt This Before!?
September 21st, 2009I’m a 29 y.o. female. A few weeks ago I developed these symptoms very suddenly, while lying on my left side in bed:
* Heaviness in chest
* Sharp pain in stomach, right below sternum
* Upper back tightness, pain
* Shortness of breath.
Symptoms went away when upper back was massaged deeply. Massaging stopped, symptoms came back. Massaging restarted, symptoms went away. All in all, I was knocked down by this for about 20-30 minutes. When it went away, I felt like nothing had happened at all.
That same day I had started antibiotics for strep throat. Had taken first dose 10-15 minutes before symptoms started. Completed 10-day regiment of antibiotics, symptoms haven’t come back.
I suffer from PSVT, but never had anything like this happen before.
Other medication being taken at the moment: tylenol with codeine for the throat pain, Yaz contraceptive.
At first I thought I didn’t have enough water and the pills were stuck in the trachea, causing all that. Any ideas?
Has Anyone Had These Chest Pain Symptoms Before?
August 31st, 2009For the last two weeks I feel like I have had pressure on my heart. Sometimes the pain goes to my left shoulder, then down to the hand. My arm aches a lot of the time. The doctor has checked my heart with a stethescope and said it’s not beating irregularly. Has anyone else experienced this, if so, what was it? Thank you
