I am 15 yrs. old. I have been having what I and several doctors have classified as “gallbladder attacks”, random bouts that have been severe enough to send me to the ER. I have had a CT scan and ultrasound, and they couldn’t find stones. I am going to a GI doc in about a week. Today, I woke up with pain in the general chest area and horrible green diarrhea. The pain went away quick but the diarrhea persisted. I just took a nap and woke up with a terrible crushing feeling all around my ribs and center of chest, worth when taking a breath and slightly worse on the right side. (but surprisingly about the same on the left.) I am wondering if this could have anything to do with the gallbladder attacks and symptoms?

February 12th, 2010Ive been taking the pill (yasmin) for 6 days and today ive had mild chest pains. Its under my breast bone on the right side. Its not constant…it comes and goes. And hurts more when i breathe in deep.
I havent got asthma and i had blood tests done a few weeks ago.
Has anyone else experienced chest pain while on the pill?
Is this a common side effect?

February 8th, 2010I found out this week that I have been misdiagnosed with asthma for the last 11 years. When I have an ‘attack’ I get chest pains like stitches all down my ribs which makes it very difficult/painful to breath out. I have been heavily medicated by my doctor since I was 12 I am now 19. Could these medications be the cause of my current symptoms? I have heard that too much oxygen in the blood can cause pain and cramping of the chest muscles. My doctor has said that my lungs function at about 120% during my breathing tests. Could it be that my lungs take in too much oxygen when I breathe faster such as when exercising and that is the cause of my ‘attacks’?
What Can Cause Left Chest Pain Besides Heart?
January 29th, 2010I have left chest pain and arm pain that has been an intermittent issue for some time…I was checked by Cardiology about 9 months ago with an stress EKG, echocardiogram, and Holter Monitior- showing nothing. I have also had multiple EKG’s in the dr.’s office showing nothing (some innocent palpitations).
Yesterday I had this pain in my chest and arm along with pain in my jaw, shoulder, back. My heart rate was going up and down between 80-100. And indigestion. I went to the Urgent Care, and of course EKG again was normal. The dr. said he didn’t know what to tell me – he said they are textbook cardiac symptoms I am having. I am only 31.
So what else could cause this pain? I have IBS, and perhaps reflux. I am still having this pain and also a metallic taste in my mouth. Is it possible reflux can this closely mimic cardiac? Could a shoulder problem cause these issues? Thanks!

Why Would Wheat Beer Cause Chest Pain?
January 20th, 2010I noticed an odd thing that has happened 3 times to me now after drinking specifically Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat beer. Shortly after drinking it, I will have an irritation in my esophagus that feels like a mix of pain and heartburn. The feeling the first time I drank this beer caused a couple of shooting pains into my throat, and the pain lasted all of the next day as well. I didn’t consider the beer at first, because I was at a friend’s house whose 1-year old was getting breathing treatments for a cold and thought it was an adverse reaction to that. But tonight I had one of these beers at home and started to get the pain again. I drink different kinds of beer on a semi-regular basis, and this is the only one that has ever done this. No other wheat beers I’ve tried have either. Could it be an allergy of some kind? Any thoughts?

Are All Kinds Of Chest Pain A Cause For Concern?
January 7th, 2010I’m a 23 male and occasionally I experience weird pains in my chest on the left side (heart side). They’re not debilitating or excruciating.. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst, I would rate it a 2 or 3. It’s dull, not sharp, and is around the breast area. It pangs for a few seconds randomly over the course of a few minutes, but then goes away. I can’t tell if it’s heart pain or if its muscle pain.
I suffer from panic attacks so this obviously is very startling and can trigger an episode, and at that point people start telling me it’s all in my head. If it were in my head I’m sure I wouldn’t be feeling pain though.
I have not experienced any symptoms of any cardiovascular problems and I have no family history. The bottom line is, if it were coming from the heart, wouldn’t it be a 6 or 7 on the pain scale? How can I tell if it’s the heart or something else?
Does Stress Cause Chest Pain And Difficulty Breathing?
January 7th, 2010I feel as if I’m going to have a heart attack before I’m 40..I an constantly suffering from intense stress and its to a point to where my chest starts to ache(my left side/heart) and I have difficulty breathing. Occasionally I start to get extremely angry and just hold it in, but I show it.
Is this normal of stress and what exactly does it point to?
