I work for a rapid/bed side cardiac marker testing company. I want to know if troponin is currently being used to diagnose MI and what companies currently distribute in India. Is testing for troponin the standard of care? I would appreciate any information.

What Does My On And Off Chest Pain Indicate?
February 8th, 2010For about a month and a half now I have been experiencing sharp to dull pain in my chest. I do not get any shortness of breath, and I am not experiencing any cold or flu symptoms. My chest just hurts at random times; it happens when I stretch, when i am lying down doing nothing, sitting down, you name it.
I am 25, a bit over weight, no health insurance, and no money to go see a doctor. The pain went away for a few days, but then it returned again. Then just 2 days ago I experienced extremely sharp pain in my right boob, and it completely went away the next day. I do not know what to do, it has me really worried. Any suggestions?
Does Anyone Have Chest Pain With Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
February 6th, 2010My husband had his gallbladder out about 4 years ago and his health has not been right since. He’s had all kinds of tests including 3 ERCPs, another endoscopy, colonoscopy, breath tests and many, many bloodwork tests. He’s seen about 4 different doctors including a GI specialist and the surgeon who removed his gallbladder. Right now his latest doctor thinks he has irritable bowel syndrome as nothing else seems to fit. Really though the bowel symptoms (2-3 loose BM’s a day) are really the least of it. Mostly he is complaining of overwhelming fatigue and chest pain (it is not cardiac related) that he says is similar to the pain that he had when he was having his gallbladder attacks. I think he needs an ultrasound or CT of this area to see what is going on. All his bloodwork is coming back within normal limits so there is not much to go on. I was just wondering if anyone else has had symptoms like this and had it resolved or improved to better health?

January 30th, 2010i have been looking after my daughter all week who has had flu and a chest infection. i got up yesterday morning and could feel my chest was a bit sore. coughed a bit and as the day wore on i could feel phlegm loosening up. coughed up a bit last night but it was so painful i was in tears. it hurt for about 10 mins after.
had a bit of a temperature, mines normally about 36.5 and it was 37.9 last night.
didnt sleep at all last night, kept tossing and turning and watching the clock all night. kept feeling like i was going to be sick.
this morning it is just as painful and tastes funny when i cough.
i dont want to cough because it hurts so bad, but will not coughing up make it worse?
do you think its a proper chest infection or just a virus?
i hate going to the docs and will only go if i know i need treatment

January 24th, 2010I feel an occasional ache on my left chest. I’m pretty sure that it’s not a muscular stress. Last night, I think the ache crawled up to my throat. I’m not sure. But the source of ache is at the chest. Could this be a heart problem? I don’t feel any more symptoms related to it. I’m only 17, what could I be getting? any scientific guess? thanks.

January 7th, 2010I feel as if I’m going to have a heart attack before I’m 40..I an constantly suffering from intense stress and its to a point to where my chest starts to ache(my left side/heart) and I have difficulty breathing. Occasionally I start to get extremely angry and just hold it in, but I show it.

January 7th, 2010I’m a 19 year old guy and I did about 4 lines of coke for the first time ever on Friday night. Initially I was ok, but then I had a mild chest pain that lasted about an hour or so. It’s now Monday morning and I still have a slight discomfort in my chest. Does anyone know what this could mean? Someone said I have bruised my heart muscle and it needs a while to recover as I’d never done it before, but I worry too much and would appreciate any input. Thanks.
