Congestive Heart

August 1st, 2011

A congestive heart can be fatal without the proper treatments.  That is why today the government spends a lot of time and resources researching for cures and preventatives.
When you suffer from having a congestive heart then the heart is not able to maintain adequate circulation of blood in the tissues of the body or to pump out the venous blood returned to it by venous circulation.  It is very important for all patients to understand what their heart is doing so they may take action to prevent any failure by the heart.

We do realize that you cannot see inside your chest and know what is going on but there are symptoms that will clue you into the fact that you are having some problems.   All of a sudden, you notice that you have a shortness of breath whenever you try to walk or go up and down steps. This is one of the major signs of heart congestion.

All of a sudden, you realize that you tire easily and feel constantly tired even after a good nights rest.  Fatigue and tiring is another signal that you should call your physician with concerns about your possibility of congestive heart problems. When you find the swelling of the feet, ankles, legs and occasionally the abdomen are constant and very discomforting then you should check with your doctor.  Persistent coughing, raspy breathing or wheezing is another symptom of having a congestive heart.

“If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your doctor.”

Suddenly you find that you are gaining weigh and have no way of controlling this gain.  When you diet but still find that you are gaining weight, perhaps the problem is with your heart. The fact that you are still gaining weight without any cause may have cause for alarm.  This is a symptom of a congestive heart.  Breathing can be come rather difficult even when you are lying down. A cough or wheeze may also occur along with spitting up red sputum. These are all signals of a congestive heart and you should see your physician before it becomes congestive heart failure.

You are really into problems if you have chest pain feel palpitations of the heart and develop a fever do not hesitate go straight to the emergency room as this is a signal that your congestive heart failure is happening. You might have started out with some ankle swelling, feet swelling and leg swelling at that point I would immediately contact my physician. I am sure that at this point your physician will send you to a cardiologist. A cardiologist is a heart specialist.

A heart specialist can make suggestions that will help you maintain a healthy life style and provide you with the proper medical care.  A proper diet is essential in having a healthy heart.  Medicine has improved over the years and so has procedures that your cardiologist will advise you.  Congestive heart problems need not become a situation of heart failure.

Can Having A Lot Of Sugar Leed To Chest Pain, Shortness In Breath, And Fatigue?

February 28th, 2010

After drinking a can of coke suddenly my chest began to hurt. Thinking the pain would go away I ignored it. Unfortunately after eating candy I began to feel worse. My chest pain began to worsen, I had shortness of breath, and fatigue. could sugar be the reason for this behavior? because this is the first time I have ever felt like this.

Wild Swings In Blood Pressure, Fatigue, Atypical Chest Pain?

February 10th, 2010

4 months ago, my chest wall started feeling very heavy most of the time, my blood pressure began swinging all over the place, I’ve seen it as low as 52/40 and as high as 170/95 on the extreme ends..Sometimes though it stabilizes at my usual 125/70, eating seems to stabilize things.
At first, I was having alot of tachycardia, but that has died out and been replaced by severe lightheaded spells, worse chest pain, a distinct nausea/breathless feeling, mental confusion, and palpitations which are often brought on by movement (originating from the area about 3-6″ below the heart) and fatigue beyond belief.
I have had an EKG during the chest pain and it was normal. My echo was normal. Labs all normal. Chest xray normal. MRI brain normal.
I have been totally disabled by this…totally..no exaggeration, I am purely devastated as I can no longer even drive due to the unpredicability of the symptoms. 30/male

Fatigue And Chest Pain (among Other Things)?

February 3rd, 2010

I have been feeling fatigued for months now, ranging from high moderate to severe, and if I’m not outright tired then I feel listless and lethargic. I’ve also been experiencing chest pain, which started some time after my fatigue. It began as a dull throb on the left side, but now I’ve been feeling it every now and then on the right, too, and it’s more persistent than before. Around the same time as all this, I developed a cough that has yet to disappear. I don’t have the energy to exercise anymore, and my muscles are beginning to feel weak and I twitch a lot now. I’m sometimes short of breath.
I went to the doctor and explained my chest pain, in which case she listened to my heart and heard a murmur. I had an echo cardiogram and the tests came back normal and my murmur diagnosed as innocent, so it’s not my heart, unless an echo test wouldn’t show something specific. I have a follow up appointment next week, but I’m curious to see if anyone would know something. I’m pretty positive it’s nothing more than chronic bronchitis.
I also bruise very easily, and my bruises don’t disappear for about 4-5 weeks. I’m prone to hot facial flushes that appear at random. I have severe, deep leg pain upon walking, between my feet and knees, which is the primary reason I don’t force myself to exercise. I don’t think either of these pertain to my aforementioned symptoms, but I figured I’d toss then out there anyway.
I’m seventeen, been diagnosed with endometriosis, and I have been tested for diabetes and determined negative. I know this is a crazy amount of information, some of which may be irrelevent, but any help would be appreciated.

Anyone Know Of A Virus That Causes Very Severe Chest, Abdominal And Lower Back Pain?

September 12th, 2009

Symptoms include mostly extreme chest pain especially when taking a breath, also pain in abdomen and lower back, overall achy muscles and fatigue with loss of appetite. Occassional nausea, and headache. Disoriented and dizzy feeling. Very gassy. All tests have come back normal, inc CT scan, EKG, blood and urine tests also normal. One doc says maybe strep or mono, but there is no sore throat and no other cold-like symptoms. Web md and other sites offer different ideas for some symptoms, but so far nothing can explain, not even any of the docs, why the severe chest pain….. anyone with info is much appreciated. One more thing fever of about 101.7 occurs consistently for about 5 days.
