I have also been having lightheadedness and headaches. I went to the doctor about all this and wanted a referral for a cardiologist and an MRI. I got a cardiologist referal (from the nurse, actually) but the doctor didn’t see fit to do the same for my head. Even though I was having chest pains before passing out, she insisted that the next day I go to get my blood drawn six times over 5 hours to test for hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. I have never in my life had problems with blood sugar, or shown any symptoms of it, not has anyone in my family.I think there may be a problem with my heart.Since I passed out on Christmas day, I constantly feel somewhat weak, with chest pains and palpitations.I am not at all impressed with this doctor’s sense-she misdiagnosed me before. But despite all this,my Dad refuses to switch me saying he thinks she is pretty smart. Based on my experience, I can’t imagine why. Since I have to go back to college in NC on January third, should I call for referrals for NC doct

February 21st, 2010I am a 21 year old female and a mother of a 2 year old toddler. For the past couple of months I’ve been having chest pains. At first it just felt like pressure on and off. Then I started waking in the middle of my sleep because my chest would hurt and feel like it was being squeezed. Now my chest is hurting on a daily basis….and sometimes it hurts really bad when I take deep breaths and when I cough (mild cold symptoms have been causing me to cough frequently). Now I’m really starting to worry because if nothing is wrong with me why on earth would my chest be hurting on a daily basis? So…there’s got to be something wrong. Now I’m really going to see a doctor but I don’t know where to go or what kind of doctor I need to find? Am I supposed to just walk into the emergency room even though it’s not like I’m having a heart attack? Any advice on who or what I should do please! Thank you.

February 15th, 2010The cardio doc says it is not bad enough to worry about right now, however the dull pain is on a daily basis and more frequent sharp pain. He takes frequent naps during the day and seems to be more tired. He also had to be transported via ambulance after a day of lawn care. He had severe pain, he was burning up and was cold and clammy to the touch. The EKG showed normal and the enzyme tests came back normal? I know what I saw and I thought for sure it was a heart attack. I know the symptoms as my Dad had 2 or 3 heart attacks and 1 major stroke. My sister also had a very bad heart attack that almost took her life. By the way, my husbands’ corotid arteries are 50 -60% blocked. Should my husband take nitro pills as prescribed by the doctor for the chest pain. He had a catheter to be checked for blockage and the doctor said there was no blockage and his valve was not bad enough yet.

February 14th, 2010Last night I had a strange pain going down the center of my chest, going from about the collar bone to the bottom of my ribs. It’s a consistent, sort of burning / clenching / stabbing pain? I’m not sure, hard to describe. But I don’t think it’s growing pains, and I only have one heart burn symptom. ._. I’m thirteen, no recent changes in diet, have exercised about a normal amount for like, my whole life, and I always get about ten hours of sleep… If any of that helps at all. ._. It hurts worse when I inhale, sit up, or laugh. it happened last night for a few hours, and this morning it hurt a bit, now it hurts again.
