I have been having horrible sharp chest pains under my left breast. When they first started about 4 weeks ago, I didn’t know how to stop them and they only happened about 2 times a day, lasting for a while, but then I found out that if I breathed in really deep, it was almost as if something popped in that spot and then the pain went away, but this week end, the pains have been coming every 5 minutes and really hurts to breathe in, even though it gets rid of the pain. I went to WebMD and found this condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse, which has symptoms of chest pains, fatigue, and daily headaches, which I have also been experiencing. I am only 16 and this is really starting to scare me. It hurts and I’ve realized that my heart has been speeding up as well now. I have an appointment on Friday, but I don’t know how long I can take this pain.

December 31st, 2009I have been to the er and my own doctor and i have not been diagnosed with anything. It started getting worse around the end of december of 2006 (which is what sent me to the er). I had a work up done and a nuclear stress test and they found no problems. I am over weight and choles. is just a bit higher than they like. I have chest pain and discomfort and sometimes a hard time breathing. This happens almost everyday. Some days are better than others. I have been on heartburn medication but it hasn’t helped with the chest pains. Any advice and please don’t give me any unless you have suffered from the same symptoms or are in the medical field. Thank you
