All day I have been having pains like squeezing on and of in my chest. I have also had a pain in the right side of my neck and my left hand has swollen, what could be causing this.

February 10th, 2010I am 15 years old (female), and without a doubt have Lupus. My doctor is slow in diagnosing, which is understandable, but he keeps telling me things are wrong with me other than Lupus, that really aren’t, he keeps giving medicine to treat my “illnesses,” and they don’t work because he’s obviously wrong. I have been on all kinds of medications for various things, except for Lupus! He is holding off on lab. tests (which is pissing me off!) and is starting to have attitude with me…I think he thinks its all in my head even though I have all symptoms, genetic history of Lupus, and even his resident is trying to speed things up because she knows I should be tested and diagnosed (I am sick and do not want to live like this any longer). I told him I am missing school because the teachers are sending me home for being too sickly to be in school, and I’m in college level courses, and the school is demanding I get a tutor. I am not going to go over all my symptoms, I do want to know 2 things…

Heavy breathing
Upper abdominal sickness
Fatigue
Dry chest
Occasional sharp pain in chest region
Pressure in chest
Worsens everyday
Pain throughout middle of body
Occasional muscle pain
Some cold sweats
Burning sensation in chest
Dizziness
Absent mindedness at work
Daze during work
Shortness Of Breath (24 + Hours), Pain In Throat, Pain In Chest, Pressure Mid-front-left Neck When Holding…?
December 29th, 2009I have had the following for over 24 hours now. Is it hospital worthy (Ontario Canada)
Symptoms:
Shortness of breath
Pain in right side of neck and chest to mid ribcage;
Switched to pain in throat on left and pressure when holding breath in same place.
Just now I started hearing a pulse in my ear (about 7 pulses)
When I move a certain way (to get up or down) my neck hurts.
Now I am nervous and stressed which is not helping very much.
Any ideas?

December 13th, 2009I went to two doctors, no one is giving me a staright answer, one said i have a throat infection another said its muscular. I had mylanta/maalox to check if it was acidity, but nothing hppned. i hae been experiencing pain on my sides under my rib for abotu a week, the pain has been constant, it never stopped, it gets worse ay night as do all the other symptoms. the worst pain i get is the chest pain. I AM ONLY 18 YRS OLD…whats wrong with me??

The chest pain sometimes hurts realy bad and I get all the above more so when I eat, not matter what I eat. I am so tired of being in pain . What is it?
Neck Pain Radiating To The Chest?
October 26th, 2009I have a pain at the base of my neck. When I breathe in it radiates to area around my collar bone at the top of my chest. It is very painful and makes it difficult to breathe. I’ve had this happen before and was worked up at the ER. It wasn’t heart related or a pulmonary embolism. I think there is something wrong with my cervical vertabre. I’ve been icing my neck and taking ibuprofen. It makes the pain very tolerable.
I know I need to see a doctor since this is a very sensitive area of the spinal column, however, I would like to find some articles or information about the symptoms I am experiencing. I’ve looked and haven’t found much.
About An Hour Or Two After I Take My Thyroid Medicine, I Get Chest Pain, And My Neck Tightens…?
September 28th, 2009This happened with the fist prescription of Synthroid…so the Doctor changed the meds to Armour Thyroid….these symptoms seemed to go away, but now they are reoccuring. I was wondering if this is normal, or if anyone else has experience these type of side effects. The chest pain is pretty much in one area on the right side, it feels as though someone stuck me with a pencil or something small like that, the area around it burns a little but it doesn’t spread much further thean that. The area is even tender to the touch. My neck tightens up making it it hard to swallow. Any thoughts please.
If You Have Neck Pain As A Symptom Of An Aneurysm, Does The Pain Go Down Into The Chest?
September 24th, 2009I’m having neck pain, but it actually hurts more about 4 inches down from my neck – right side only by the way. I’m getting a little nervous, but I have MVP so I can’t tell if I’m actually in trouble or if being scared is just making me worse.
