Okay so i have had this pain in my chest every time i breath in and out and it wont go away, when ever im twisting around or moving my upper body in a fast manner it gets difficult to breathe and the pain in my chest starts to hurt a little more, also it seems to have spread to my middle of my chest to sometimes hurting on the right side peck but not often , just always on the left right by my heart. Other symptoms i have are i get the chills and also i had a little bit of a temperature the other night and i think i might have one now, other symptoms are my throat is kind of sore and my stomach has been back and forth between feelling uneasy and not , i have not puked yet but i have felt like i needed to a couple of times. I am just concerned because me and my dad got into an arguement about taking me to the hospital because he doesnt want to take me and i dont want to go if its just gonna be something little and have him be very angry at me.
Does anyone know what i might have ?

February 4th, 2010When ever I lay down on my stomach or chest for a while playing on my computer then stand up I feel tightness near my sternum. I then throw my arms back and my head back and stretch my chest back and I can crack it and it feels a little better. Also If I stoop over(hunch my back forward) and then straighten back up I feel the same tightness. Also If I stoop over and tighten the muscles in my chest I feel a pain there. Sometimes when I cough I can feel the pain there also. And once in a while if i breath deep i can also feel it.
It has been like this for about almost two weeks. Its gotten a little better and some days its worse.
I read up on Pulmonary embolism because I am a hypochondriac and it said it hurts more when you stoop over, breath, and cough.
Im very scared it has to do with a blood clot or a heart attack or something serious because whenever I go check my blood pressure at the machine at the store it says its high (155-130/100-84) I take it multiple times and it decreases normally the first one is the highest. PLEASE NOTE i have major anxiety and I think that was causing the blood pressure. I went to a doctor and he said it was 120/80 and I was like thats strange. I went back to a different store and it was high again. I waited a couple days and Noticed that I was having blood in my nose when ever I blew it or stuck a tissue up into it. It never actually bleed out but whenever I blow my nose there is some blood in the boogers. Thinking this is because of high blood pressure I went back to the same doctor and It turned out to be 140/100(the nurse took it) I started freaking out. They did an EKG and said everything looked fine except I had sinus Tachcardia which they said was because I was very nervous. By the time I left my blood pressure was down to 136/88(the doctor took it a couple times) one after another waiting about 2 mins in between. Was that enough time for another accurate reading or were my blood vessels constricted and blood pushed away causing a lower reading? Is that whats happening at the store machine when it drops lower?
NOW THIS WAS A WALK IN CLINIC SO I DO NOT KNOW HOW GOOD THEY ARE
I am 19 years old I weigh 184-192 and I am 5″11 or 6″
I have started eating healthier and I see a psychiatrist.
Now back to the point does this seem like it could be something serious or just muscle pain(note: I have bad posture I hunch over on my computer allot). And do you think the nose bleed is from high blood pressure or sometime else. I have seasonal allergies and I used afrin(which you are supposed to use not more than 3-5 days in a row) for about a year and a half almost everyday(which could have messed up the lining in my nose) My nose has been like this for almost a month. When I use saline spray It starts to have more blood when I stick a tissue up there( maybe b/c the spray is dissolving the blood clot)
I am very very nevous and stressed out and I have had a chain reaction of stressful events from being shot at, Roommate passed away car crash, dog ran away(just got a call that she is found 
), college home sickness, and family issues.

(dont just say go to a doctor I have been to 14 different doctor/clinics in the past 19 weeks for random things I thought was wrong with me most turned out nothing was wrong and I think now that this my be the cause of my symptoms,and my parents are getting sick of paying)
Chest Pain, Fatigue, Shortness Of Breath, Please Help!?

i wanted to ask you all your advice on these symptoms i am having. first of all i am a 20 year old male and have been pretty health my whole life (no major problems or concerns) however, for about the past month now i have been having chest pain. most of the time it is in the left side of my chest and will be anywhere from the left side of my sternum to the mid to upper pectoral(breast) or down just below it. i also have stomach pains ever so often. I have noticed a lack of energy in my body and seem to be fatigued all day. it also seems like i am short of breath. it feels like there is something in my throat, but i know there is nothing there….so ya, i dont know what is going on. I ha had multiple EKGs and an echocardiogram a little over a year ago and both came back normal at that time. soooo i was hoping someone out there had the answer. thank you for reading this! i know it was long, but hopefully you can help!

What Could This Kind Of Chest Pain Mean..?? Please Answer, Mom Isn’t Helping?
February 1st, 2010First of all. I had a mild case of anorexia, I starved and purged. But now I’m in recovery. I had chest pains during my eating disorder but mow that i’m almost better the pains are getting worse.
The pain feels like sharp jabs in my heart and a numb/tingling feeling in my left arm, shoulder and jaw. The tingling kind of feels like hitting my funny bone. These attacks only last about 30 seconds and I get them 3-6 times a week.
More frequently, multiple times a day, I get attacks where I can feel my chest pounding but that’s the only symptom.
I had a ECG done at the beginning of my outpatient recovery because my doctor thought I had a heart murmur but nothing showed up.
I’ve told my mom about of but she thinks it’s just from my eating disorder and that it will go away or that it’s from the heat. But it has been getting worse.
Chest Pain??????? Help Please?
January 30th, 2010Lately I’ve been having some chest pain and haven’t noticed how bad it was until this past week. Its on my left side only, it sometimes goes up into my collar bone area and into my upper shoulder. It always starts like right where you put your hand on your heart while saying the pledge.
It tends to be pretty sharp then it’ll just kind of sting like? Hard to explain sorry.
Last week I was feeling nauseous and dizzy and tired as well. From time to time it feels like my heart is beating really hard…
I’ll have to hold my chest as well and then it’ll start that pain. I’ve taken pain medicine but of course that doesn’t seem to work for it. I’m going to try to set up an app. but does anyone know what this could be or has had this or even knows whats causing this.
Any input is apprecited thanks.

I don’t know if I’m even posting in the right category… For several weeks I’ve had varying levels of pain in mainly the right side of my chest. One time in particular I was lying on my bed and it was such an awful feeling I found myself gasping, with my hand clamped over my chest, pushing my spine into the bed not quite knowing what to do with myself because the feeling wouldn’t go away.
Since then it has been on and off, occasionally it feels like there is a rope around my chest, but it’s not as if I can’t breathe, it’s just tiring to get enough air. Also had fever on and off, but only low-grade, nothing above 38.
The past few days the pain has been constant, it’s in the right edge of my breast below my armpit, also in my right arm. I’ve had a dry, non-productive cough on and off for a week, and also in the past few days the feeling there is some kind of heavy creature sitting on my sternum has increased.
This is quite annoying, and I feel a bit silly complaining about it again to my doctor, as I had a chest x-ray and blood test a couple of weeks ago and they were clear!
The pain isn’t agonising, and it’s not as though it’s on the left side or I’m suffocating, and it is only on and off, – but it’s just an awful feeling.
Anybody have any ideas? I don’t have asthma. Don’t smoke. It isn’t costochondritis, I had that years ago, this is nothing like. Anything else, pleurisy, bronchitis etc would have shown up on the x-ray, plus I don’t have flu or cold symptoms. No trauma etc. No diabetes. Not overweight.
Please help if you can, I’d really appreciate it. May I also ask that you don’t simply say “see a doctor” – I saw one. I will go back.
But in the mean time, if these symptoms ring a bell…

I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia about a year ago that usually only flares up form smoking (im not a smoker but do have one on occasion) okay about 2 weeks ago my chest starting hurting. After a few days or maybe about a week I went to my DR. and they told me it was my hernia moving they did an EKG as well and said everything was fine with my heart (grandma side of family has heart problems). At night when I lay down or if I get up vey quickly I get heart palipations. which was another reason for the test. Well the pain went into upper back between my shoulders and hurt worse than my chest, I felt like it needed to be cracked so i did and it seems better, during this time period I have doubled my omeprazole and have no symptoms like heart burn. Certain movements seem to make my chest hurt worse but then I move that way again and it doesn’t bother me. OTC pain meds help sorta. Please help!! frustrated and worried.

im sorry this is long but i really need help. A week ago i started feeling weak and dizzy with no energy what so ever. I then started getting pain in the centre of my chest. On tuesday this was diagnosed as costachondritis which is the inflamation of the cartilage connecting each individual rib to the sternum. all that could help this is anti inflamatories but being an asthmatic i could not get prescribed any. MY GP told me this pain would last around a monnth and all i could do was take paracetamol. On thursday the pain started spreading away from the area of the sternum, and started to resemble the pleurisy symptoms i had a few months ago, however there was no shortness of breath. By friday i was in absolute agony with constant pain on my chest with designated areas of shooting pain. I went to the walk in centre to see a diffeent GP as it was around 9pm. She carried out a number of tests and was completely stumped as to what was wrong. She mentioned shingles but i didnt have any other symptoms. She also mentioned pneumothorax however she couldnt hear any whistling and my oxygen levels were 99% and again no shortness of breath. Later friday night and now saturday morning atop of this pain it has been feeling like someone has been stabbing pins into the top of my back. Im in agony and really have no idea what to do and neither do doctors it seems. I have looked up shingles but have no other symptoms and no rash. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
by the way just incase it matters. i took paracetamol however it was doing nothing. And when i went to the walk in centre she gave me co-codamol which doesnt seem to be helping with the pain either. Also i am a 15 year old female. And i know i will need to go to the hospital again but i was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what is wrong?
