Hi, I’m 43 in good shape, I do exercise 3 times a week (for the past 2 years). In the past week while I’m in rest I feel minor chest pain in the left side. Should I worry or do anything ?

February 15th, 2010hi. i have a few problems which have been bothering me for quite a while. at first they seemed to be no big deal and unrelated, but recently i’ve been worrying whether they’re symptoms of some kind of disease.
1. fat belly (this has been years, i remember since i’m say 14 maybe? i’m 23 now). this is really embarassing as my friends often tease me for being pregnant, i can’t wear fit clothing and i also have to walk around sheilding my tummy with a bag or something. my back is quite curved, so i just thought maybe that’s why my tummy is like that since i’m a girl and it’s normal to have fat in the belly to protect my reproductive organs. the thickness when i pinch/hold is roughly about 1.5inch.
2. wind/gas problem. this is all the time. not only after meal or any time only, but all the time. see? now i think my tummy is full of gas rather than fat. and also, it sounds like a drum when i tap my belly. i’m quite a windy person, but recently it’s been worse. also, after meal, often it feels like i’m burping, but it’s not coming out.
3. fatty deposits (i think) under skin of inner side of both arms. many uneven small lumps. this one i noticed since maybe a year or less.
4. also i have been experiencing chest pain (left side) is it the heart? before very rarely, recently say, once a month? i’m not sure. this really worries me, made me think i’m hypercholesterolemic. i haven’t done a blood test yet, but planning to when i have the time.
for extra information, i’m 1.57m and 56kg roughly (haven’t measured myself lately). i’m a student of biomedicine, so you can explain as detailed as possible. thank you very much in advance for any kind of help/suggestion/solution/explaination

Often, heart problems present with more than just chest pain. Other symptoms that could signal a heart problem include weakness, shortness of breath, pain that radiates to your jaw or shoulder, fainting, nausea, fast heart beat, confusion–too many to mention.
And I’ve been having chest pain recently. I’m in great shape, but sometimes when i have the random sharp pains (which started recently-about 2 weeks ago) i get strange feelings in my upper arm and shoulder. Also, I have hyperthyroidism which causes loss of concentration. Sometimes when I’m talking i get off track and my mind goes completely blank. Could this count for the confusion listed above?
I’m 13 years old.
How Do You Know If Chest Pain Is A Heart Problem Not Something More Serious?
January 16th, 2010I commonly have chest pains in my heart area and in my left lower rib cage below my heart, I also sometimes have pain come down into my left arm and fingers.
I am not a worrier at all and only go to the doctor if there is something obviously wrong with me, I am active and eat well too.
Should I be worried?

Has Anyone Had Severe Chest Pain That Was Not A Heart Problem?
December 31st, 2009I am having severe chest pain and shortness of breath for two weeks now, it seems to be getting worse. I have been to the ER twice and admitted once to be monitored and given fluid for low blood pressure.
I was discharged and told my heart is fine, but the pain in my chest feels like a knife through my chest and back, neck pain and shooting arm pains.
Has anyone else had similar symptoms that was not the heart but another problem? If so, what was the cause and what did you do to get rid of it.
(I have no family or personal history of heart dieases and I have no history of illness.)
Variety Of Symptoms Part Of A Bigger Problem?
October 14th, 2009My wife has been suffering from a variety of symptoms lately that are worrying both of us more and more.
The first symptoms were pain in her chest. These vary from a dull ache to a sharp pinching, and are sporadic, sometimes not bothering her at all, other times hitting every half hour or so. The pain can be very debilitating, and on one occasion shot from her chest into her arm. This has been going on for about 1 1/2 to 2 months.
Yesterday, she complained of feeling very hot and sweating, even when she was doing nothing. Today, just about 20 minutes ago, she said she started feeling like part of both her hands were going to sleep (the thumbs and index fingers).
She’s already gone to the hospital regarding this matter, and the doctors found nothing wrong. They gave her Ibuprofen and Vicodin for her pain and sent her on her way. Neither do her much good.
Both of us are growing more and more concerned with this. Any help will be appreciated.
