Yesterday morning I had a small shooting pain lasting about 1 second but was painful enough to shock me, last night I woke up with uncomfortable pain in my chest, and this morning I had a sudden attack of severe pain in the centre of my chest and to the right of my chest radiating through my shoulder and also the back of my chest. Its left me painful/sore all day in my chest/shoulder/back of chest? Help? This was severe pain, really bad shocking pain.

February 18th, 2010The doctor yesterday did not take an x-ray because I have a history of pneumonia.
I have been taking me perscription, but I feel worse then yesterday. I get severe sharp chest pain every time I eat or drink anything, I’m struggling even to drink water right now, even though I’m thirsty.
It’s terrible. I have a history of pneumonia and asthma, but I’ve never had this. When will this go away? Help!

February 17th, 2010Last night I had extremely bad chest pains. It felt as if I was having a heart attack. I also began not being able to breathe well. It felt like my lungs were being pushed on. I went to the er where I waited 7 hours (my symptoms went away by then) and the doctors told me nothing is wrong. Yet all day the same thing has been happening but getting worse. Do you know what it could be? I have been tested for blood clots heart attacks problems with my heart kidneys thyroid and all came back normal.

February 13th, 2010I am a 42 yr old female personal trainer. 6 months ago I got severe heart palps then 5 weeks ago chest pain in left side going through to my left shoulder blade. my echo showed mild mitral regurgitation and mild thickening of the mitral leaflet. I have frequent ventricular ectopy and the symptoms are usually at rest. I have hardly exercised in a month and they are not improving I get the heart palps every day and the chest pain comes and goes but again is most days. I get tingling in my hands and a general feeling of fatigue. I saw a cardiologist who thinks the chest pain is a pulled muscle and that everyone gets heart palps.. I felt so dispondent as I have never felt this unwell since I had parvo B19 virus 2 years ago. I am worried and do not know who to see regarding exercise and these debilitating symptoms. please can anyone help!
Severe Troat And Chest Pain For 8 Months?
February 1st, 2010I started to notice a strange felling on the outside of my throat on the right side only when i smoked. I quit smoking but a sharp squeezing pain started occuring everyday. i noticed a lump on the side where it hurts the most. I then had to quit drinking alcohol because after i woke up the next morning from drinking a bit, my chest felt like it was going to explode the entire day. So i quit drinking but the pain started occuring everyday. It is mostly an achey feeling on the upper right side of my chest but also appears on the left. I also get sharp pains all around the lower ribs which can feel like bad cramps. Ive taken anti-biotics, alergy medication, and started on prevacid over a month ago. Ive been to the doctor five times in the last 8 months and its about to be my sixth. Other symptoms are increased anxiety, popping in right ear and right nostril, sleep apnea, back pain, and sore throat in the mornings.

January 30th, 2010i have been looking after my daughter all week who has had flu and a chest infection. i got up yesterday morning and could feel my chest was a bit sore. coughed a bit and as the day wore on i could feel phlegm loosening up. coughed up a bit last night but it was so painful i was in tears. it hurt for about 10 mins after.
had a bit of a temperature, mines normally about 36.5 and it was 37.9 last night.
didnt sleep at all last night, kept tossing and turning and watching the clock all night. kept feeling like i was going to be sick.
this morning it is just as painful and tastes funny when i cough.
i dont want to cough because it hurts so bad, but will not coughing up make it worse?
do you think its a proper chest infection or just a virus?
i hate going to the docs and will only go if i know i need treatment

First it was just severe chest pains and today he had sever chest pains associated with numbness on the left side and tightness of the jaw. I gave him two Bayer Asprin each time and he got alright. He will not go to the Dr. He is Diabetic, Sleep Ap, High Blood Pressure and he had surgery on his shoulder 3 months ago. He had test ran on his heart three months ago and was find.
Severe Central Chest/back Pain With Bad Headache/blurry Vision?
January 29th, 2010Hey just wanted to start off by saying I’m 19 and I have a pretty active life style. I’ve had this problem a total of 3 times and after the last time I started getting worried and decided to look into it. The time of the symptoms are completely random, it can happen when I’m exercising or just sitting around. It starts with a bad chest pain in the center right near my heart, no pressure or anything just a deep pain like something is lodged in my chest, it’s usually so bad I have to stop what I’m doing. It then spreads to my back with the same exact pain right in the same spot as my chest. It then goes to my front of my neck, usually the left side, today it was on the right, same kind of pain and it feels like the pain is connected together. It is usually accompanied by a very bad headache. The first time it happened I was at Wal-Mart just shopping, it lasted for about 2 hours. The second time was at a friends house and it was real bad, it lasted for about 2 days and was horrible, I had blurry vision and a severe headache and had to lay down the whole time. This time was bad but nothing like the last two times. It was at it’s worst for about an hour, I still have residual pain,especially when I swallow. I’ve looked all over the internet and was even told it might be GERD or something like that. The thing is I haven’t had any kind of acid-reflux for years now and there is no burning or regurgitation or anything. I don’t have any shortness of breath, no fatigue or anything like that, just a bad headache (not like a normal one which I seem to have everyday) and blurry vision. I can’t think of what is causing it, the only thing that I was diagnosed with was a herniated disc which seems to be completely unrelated. If anyone knows anything about this, and I mean anything, please let me know I am really concerned and am considering going to the ER. Thanks in advance for your time.

January 3rd, 2010My wife hasbeen experiencing severe pain for the past week.
Symptoms: first there was severe pain caused by swollen lymph nodes behind her right ear; that progressed to severe internal pain near her left shoulder blade which has persisted; if she lies very still on her back the pain dissipates; lymph nodes behind right ear and in neck are inflamed but no longer cause pain
Diagnostic tests: CT scan (chest and back) was negative
Pain medications: doctors have prescribed Tylenol with codeine and OxyContin
Doctors have not been able to diagnose.
