It is not an all over pain. i can pinpoint its axact location when it happens. It only happens when i wake up.. the pain itself lasts for about 4 SEC and goes away for 5 MIN and then comes back again for 4 SEC. the whole process lasts for about 15 min (not the pain itself) It does not wake me up at night nor is it a horrible pain. It hurts but in a dull stabing sense. when this happens i have no other symptoms. just the pain. no tightness, short breathing ect.. I have done so much research and can not pin point exactly what it is. some of it points to angina but some doesnt so idk… if someone has some other insight I would plz like to know!! thank you!! – More info below-
I am 19 years old
I am a female
I weigh 125 pounds
It happens about 3 times a week (varies)
I do not smoke or drink
I have a history of fam smokers (mom, dad ect)
I have bad anxiety
any comments would be great!

When they first started about 4 weeks ago, I didn’t know how to stop them and they only happened about 2 times a day, lasting for a while, but then I found out that if I breathed in really deep, it was almost as if something popped in that spot and then the pain went away, but this week end, the pains have been coming every 5 minutes and really hurts to breathe in, even though it gets rid of the pain. I went to WebMD and found this condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse, which has symptoms of chest pains, fatigue, and daily headaches, which I have also been experiencing. I am only 16 and this is really starting to scare me. It hurts and I’ve realized that my heart has been speeding up as well now. I have an appointment on Friday, but I don’t know how long I can take this pain.

Since it happened I have been having really bad chest and stomach pains.
I feel like throwing up and my chest feels like its tightening and just sharp.

I have been taking me perscription, but I feel worse then yesterday. I get severe sharp chest pain every time I eat or drink anything, I’m struggling even to drink water right now, even though I’m thirsty.
It’s terrible. I have a history of pneumonia and asthma, but I’ve never had this. When will this go away? Help! :(

Other symptoms i have are i get the chills and also i had a little bit of a temperature the other night and i think i might have one now, other symptoms are my throat is kind of sore and my stomach has been back and forth between feelling uneasy and not , i have not puked yet but i have felt like i needed to a couple of times. I am just concerned because me and my dad got into an arguement about taking me to the hospital because he doesnt want to take me and i dont want to go if its just gonna be something little and have him be very angry at me.
Does anyone know what i might have ?

It feels as if someone is slowly stabbing me in the chest. I can’t even take in breaths with out it hurting. I used to get them when I was younger but it seemed to disappear, now its come back and more frequent. Its on my left side near my heart.

I went into the lunchroom and took a drink and as soon as I swallowed it my chest hurt really bad. I couldn’t stand, so I sat in a chair. The pain lasted for at least a minute, then it slowly faded away. Later on I finished the soda with no problem. What could have caused the pain?
