Often, heart problems present with more than just chest pain. Other symptoms that could signal a heart problem include weakness, shortness of breath, pain that radiates to your jaw or shoulder, fainting, nausea, fast heart beat, confusion–too many to mention.
And I’ve been having chest pain recently. I’m in great shape, but sometimes when i have the random sharp pains (which started recently-about 2 weeks ago) i get strange feelings in my upper arm and shoulder. Also, I have hyperthyroidism which causes loss of concentration. Sometimes when I’m talking i get off track and my mind goes completely blank. Could this count for the confusion listed above?
I’m 13 years old.

Left Side Upper Abdominal Pain, Some Chest Pain??
November 29th, 2009Ok…a couple of months ago I started having chest pain (usually on the left side..and somewhat sharp)..used to have my left shoulder and arm hurt and so on…I went do a doctor, did my complete bloodwork, also an EKG (all normal)..Then I went to see a cardiologist and also did an EKG..and checkup – the cardio said It was nothing wrong with my heart (that should be a relief,no?)..Ok..After some time i started having upper pain in my back (also left side)..I went to a Radiologist…did an Xray and he told me I had a “walking pneumonia”-went to the doc and he gave me antibiotics to treat it. I haven’t finished the treatment yet, and now, even if I don’t have back pain or neck pain ..or arm pain anymore..Sometimes I still feel some pain in my chest (right or left side) and I am getting some upper abdominal pain in the center and left side (kinda like just under and below the ribs). I don’t smoke..I don’t drink..Don’t drink coffe…So? any ideas?

November 26th, 2009While walking (I walk far every day), I developed chest pain a few weeks ago, and today again – on my left side, a sort of crushing pain, and no other symptoms but feeling tired. When I sit down and rest it disappears. I’m slim, have been extremely fit all my life, don’t smoke and am vegetarian. I can’t imagine having a heart problem. What else could it be? I don’t want to run to a doctor for nothing.
