Recently i have had chest and upper back pain come and go. It never lasts more than a minute but it feels like there’s an air bubble in my heart and back. I cant breathe deeply while its happening. Its hap pend several times within the last 24 hours. I have had it happen before but few and far between. Its concerning now at how often this is occurring now.

What Could Cause This Awful Pain In My Chest And Back?
February 28th, 2010I have been getting an awful pain in my upper chest and upper back, it hurts to take a deep breath, and nausea. It happens about once a month for about 4 days, 3 to 5 hours each time. I have seen doctors for other problems and they don’t listen and blow me off. I don’t want to waste my time looking for one to help me, so if anyone knows about this please help. The more info I have the better I can communicate with a doctor. Thank you

February 26th, 2010Someone I know, a man in his 20s, has been having some slight chest pains lately. This person is only a few pounds overweight and is also VERY active–lots of cardio and other exercise. He NEVER has chest pain while exercising though. Any ideas what could be causing these pains?

It is not accompanied by any other symptoms and hurts at random momemts throughout the day. It happens every day, several times a day. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks!
Should I Be Worried About This Chest Pain?
February 23rd, 2010So every now and then I get a sensation around my sternum that feels sort of like a stabbing, sharp pain. I can’t breath deeply without it hurting and sometimes even exhaling hurts. It usually lasts about 10-15 minutes and happens maybe 3 times a month. My mom said it sounds like heartburn, but I’ve had heartburn and it feels nothing like this. I’m not too worried right now because I can usually continue with my daily activities without too much trouble, however it’s becoming more frequent. Any ideas?
What Is This Chest Pain?
February 23rd, 2010About 3 months ago I woke up with really bad chest pains, tightness, and pressure ( felt like someone was sitting on my chest constantly) after a day or two, I developed an aggressive cough. It lasted for about four days before I went to a walk-in-clinic and the doctor there barely listened to my symptoms and told me no information. He prescribed me the “Z Pack” and said I had bronchitis. In January, I was in Europe and the same thing happened again. I had no access to a Doctor there because I was on a school trip, so I dealt with it. When I got home 10 days later, it seemed to be a lot better so I didn’t go to the doctor, although it took weeks to get back to normal. Now, I have the same chest feelings again but it has not developed into a cough yet. However, I can’t do any type of activity (walking fast, running, going up the stairs) without it feeling like someone has my lungs in their hands squeezing them and someone is sitting on my chest. I might have passed out if I had to continue to run (in my class). I don’t think it’s bronchitis. Anyone know what I might have?
