I am a 21 year old female and a mother of a 2 year old toddler. For the past couple of months I’ve been having chest pains. At first it just felt like pressure on and off. Then I started waking in the middle of my sleep because my chest would hurt and feel like it was being squeezed. Now my chest is hurting on a daily basis….and sometimes it hurts really bad when I take deep breaths and when I cough (mild cold symptoms have been causing me to cough frequently). Now I’m really starting to worry because if nothing is wrong with me why on earth would my chest be hurting on a daily basis? So…there’s got to be something wrong. Now I’m really going to see a doctor but I don’t know where to go or what kind of doctor I need to find? Am I supposed to just walk into the emergency room even though it’s not like I’m having a heart attack? Any advice on who or what I should do please! Thank you.

February 15th, 2010The cardio doc says it is not bad enough to worry about right now, however the dull pain is on a daily basis and more frequent sharp pain. He takes frequent naps during the day and seems to be more tired. He also had to be transported via ambulance after a day of lawn care. He had severe pain, he was burning up and was cold and clammy to the touch. The EKG showed normal and the enzyme tests came back normal? I know what I saw and I thought for sure it was a heart attack. I know the symptoms as my Dad had 2 or 3 heart attacks and 1 major stroke. My sister also had a very bad heart attack that almost took her life. By the way, my husbands’ corotid arteries are 50 -60% blocked. Should my husband take nitro pills as prescribed by the doctor for the chest pain. He had a catheter to be checked for blockage and the doctor said there was no blockage and his valve was not bad enough yet.

December 31st, 2009Im really sorry that its kind of long but i really wanted to be detailed so you could help me and give me good answers.
ok so im 16 years old and im a girl, i have Moderate Aortic Stenosis, Mild Aortic Regurgitation, a bicuspid aortic valve and an enlarged aorta. Since these problems have similar symptoms is it possible that my symptoms(chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness ect.) are worse, because i have all these problems? because i get REALLY bad chest pains and palpitations and really bad shortness of breath(cant even run up a set of stairs in my house without having trouble breathing) also i get dizzy all the time but my cardiologist thinks im fine(says my aortic stenosis hasnt progressed since last year) but its really annoying and really worries me. my mom has scheduled me with another cardiologist for a 2nd opinion so i just want to know what people on here think.
so my questions are
1. is it possible my symptoms are made worse because of 4 conditions with similar symptoms?
2. Is it common to have all 4 of these heart problems in a 16 years old girl?(just wondering)
3. when do you think i would need surgery?(just wondering)
so the 1st question is my most important the other are just curious thoughts. so any information that you can give me would be GREAT.
oh and if it makes a difference, im on a Contact sports restriction(i cant play contact sports) because my aorta is to close to the surface of my chest. when i run/do any endurance i get extremely out of breath within a minute and i get chest pain during it and it hurts really bad. and sometimes i get shortness of breath when im just sitting on the couch(i feel like i cant get enough air type feeling), its not really scary just annoying. and i get heart palpitations often,

Chest Pain? That Keeps Getting Worse On The Right Side Of My Body?
September 23rd, 2009I have had severe chest pain for about a week. No reason for it to pop up. Had xrays done but showed nothing wrong.
Recently(last day and a half) the area has been getting hotter then body temp. Cant move without feeling the pain. Painkillers arent working (aspirin, voltaren, paracetamol and ibuprofen).
Does anyone know whats wrong?

September 22nd, 2009I’m a 30yr old female, had insomnia and nightmares when I was a little girl, but it came back.
Anxiety was diagnosed a year ago, xanax prescribed after I went on a “mental holiday”, temazapam prescribed for nightmares and insomnia, exercise and less caffeine was suggested but hasn’t helped at all. I regularly go up to 50 hours without any sleep.
I’m hypersensitive to everything and embarrassingly jumpy, and according to my fella now I talk incessantly and seem to be erratic at times. I’m always thirsty
My vision is blurry. I’ve got rashes that appear all over me and I scratch till the skin comes off, mostly in my sleep.
Im woken by the smallest noise and cant go back to sleep even with medication.
When I’m laying down my legs are ridiculously itchy, like somethings crawlin under my skin. My body twitches almost violently until I nod off. I’m asthmatic and sometimes wake up feeling like I’m takin my first breath in hours.
And for 3 weeks I’ve bled on and off. My doctor is vague.
